Gölalan is a village in Canik County in the Turkish province of Samsun . The place is located about 18 km south of Samsun on the foothills of Mount Canik on the Akçay tributary of the Mert River. Since a regional reform in 2014, Gölalan is no longer a village, but a district of the district town.

The climate corresponds to that of the Black Sea region .

economy

The village's economy is based on livestock and agriculture. There are Gebi cherries grown hazelnuts, peaches, pears, apples and plums.

Infrastructure

The village can be reached via an asphalt road. There is a primary school in the village. While there are electricity and telephone connections, there is still a lack of a supply of running drinking water and a sewerage system.
