Gosta Lindh

Gustaf "Gösta" Lennart Lindh (born February 8, 1924 in Örebro ; † January 4, 1984 ibid) was a Swedish football player .

career

Lindh played for Rynninge IK in his youth before moving to Örebro SK in 1941 . He made his debut for the club on August 2, 1942 in Division 2 against Surahammars IF . In 1946 he was promoted to the Allsvenskan with the club . There he played all 22 games of the season, but he missed relegation with the team. The direct ascent was followed by another descent. 1951 to 1953 he played again first class with the club and missed only one game of the season. After two more years in the second division, he ended his active career in 1955. In total, he played 251 times in league games for the ÖSK, 109 times in the Allsvenskan.

Lindh made 31 appearances for Sweden . With the national team he won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games in 1952 . With his debut against Switzerland in 1950 , he is the first national player in the history of Örebro SK.
