Günter Goetzendorff

Günter Goetzendorff (born March 11, 1917 in Bad Ziegenhals / Silesia , † August 8, 2000 in Bad Honnef ) was a German politician from various parties.

Life

After studying economics and German studies, which he did not graduate, Goetzendorff worked as an editor and journalist. He was a soldier in World War II.

In 1945 he came to Bavaria as a displaced person and founded a refugee committee. In 1946 he founded the New Citizens Association , which was banned by the American occupation forces a little later. He then became a board member of the "Representation of the interests of expellees in Bavaria" (IAB) . From 1946 to 1949 he worked as an editor for the Passauer Neue Presse . In 1948 Goetzendorff re-founded the new citizens' union and became president of the IAB. Before the Bundestag election in 1949 , he tried to create a comprehensive list of expellees, but this was not licensed, so that his new citizens' union formed an electoral alliance with the WAV , through which he entered the German Bundestag .

Before the state elections in Bavaria in 1950 , he founded the "Block of Displaced Persons" (not identical to the BHE ), which received only 0.2% of the votes. In the Bundestag he first belonged to the WAV parliamentary group and later switched to the DRP group as a guest . In 1952, he and Wolfgang Hedler founded the National Reich Party (NRP), which participated in the unsuccessful umbrella organization of the National Collection (DNS) for the 1953 Bundestag election . On 26 January 1950 he was by Bundestag President Erich Köhler because of a slap in the face, which he the deputy Hans Bodensteiner excluded had been due not taken back reputational statements in the foyer of the Bundestag for 20 sitting days.

Goetzendorff was a colorful personality who was involved in various legal proceedings.
