Günter Ledl (born October 7, 1949 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian automobile designer.

Act

In 1973, Ledl founded “ Ledl GesmbH Austria ” in Tattendorf, Lower Austria , which initially manufactured various plastic products, bathtubs, swimming pools, swimming pools and coffins. The company later shifted its focus to the production of buggy bodies and crash helmets , until 1978 when the first self-produced sports car was presented under the name “ Tanga ”. In 1981 the vehicle, now called Ledl AS (for Ledl Austrian Sportscar ), was actually ready for series production, making it the first Austrian series car produced in Austria for decades. By autumn 1982, 128 orders had been received for the 4.20 meter long, 850 kilogram heavy vehicle powered by a 65 hp Ford engine. After this promising start, however, problems arose (among other things with the Austrian bureaucracy) and in 1987 production was discontinued after 249 Ledl AS had been produced. Günter Ledl now lives in Tattendorf as a producer of rear spoilers and bumpers .
