Günter Nachtigall 1960

Günter Nachtigall (born March 5, 1930 in Blankenburg (Harz) ) is a former German gymnast.

He trained in the gymnastics department founded in 1950 at SV Lok Blankenburg and later at ASK Vorwärts Berlin , where he was GDR champion in all-around in 1956. He had further successes in horse jumping (1957 GDR champion), on the pommel horse (1959 GDR champion), in floor exercise (1956/1957 GDR champion), on parallel bars (1956 GDR champion) and on rings (1956 GDR champion , 1957 runner-up). He also took third place in several disciplines.

In 1957 he took part in the European Championships in Paris and in 1960 at the Olympic Games in Rome, where he was seventh with the GDR team.
