Günter Renner

Günter Renner (born April 24, 1939 in Schmottseiffen ; † August 19, 2005 ) was a German lawyer, university professor and presiding judge at the Hessian Administrative Court.

Career

Renner studied law in Frankfurt a. M. and Berlin, where he also passed the two state examinations in law in 1965 and 1968. His positions as a judge led him to the Frankfurt am Main Regional Court and time as a research assistant at the Federal Administrative Court and Federal Constitutional Court, finally to the Hessian Administrative Court , where he began his judicial service in 1981. In August 1987 he took over the position of presiding judge, which he held until he left.

After his late doctorate in 1997, he took on a teaching position at the University of Marburg and was made an honorary professor there in 2003.

Before his judicial retirement, he founded the immigration law specialist portal migrationsrecht.net in 2003 , where he published his last works in the form of e-books .
