Günther Kress

Günther Kress (born February 6, 1929 in Stuttgart ) is a German media journalist and the founder of the communications industry service kressreport .

Kress was born on February 6, 1929 in Stuttgart and grew up there and in Biberach. His journalistic career began in the 1950s in the editorial office of the former Spiegel correspondent in Baden-Württemberg, Waldemar Schweitzer . Since 1962 he has been the responsible editor of the information service "from our circles" (published by Waldemar Schweitzer Verlag in Stuttgart). In June 1966 he founded his own information service kressreport, where he worked as a managing partner and editor until the end of 1995.

The "Dienstmann", his nickname in publishing circles, has been reporting on the German media industry for around 30 years. At the end of 1995 Günther Kress sold his report to Thomas Wengenroth and Peter Turi and retired to the post of editor, Wengenroth sold in 2008 to Haymarket Media .

Today Kress lives as a private citizen near Stuttgart.
