Günther Wedekind

Günther Wedekind (born July 15, 1929 in Barbis , Lower Saxony ) is a German cameraman .

Life

Günther Wedekind started his professional career as a young cameraman in the early years of television. From 1954 to 1959 he worked for the Canadian local television station CKCO in Kitchener , Ontario . Then he returned to Germany and became first cameraman at Radio Bremen . Günther Wedekind has designed numerous studio productions, television documentaries and television plays as a cameraman. These include, for example, the Beat Club , the Rudi Carrell Show , Amlauf Band , Rudi's Tagesshow , Loriot Cartoon or the travel documentary Hardy's log book with Hardy Krüger and Dieter Seelmann and some episodes of the Radio Bremen series Frauengeschichten and Very Personal . With his close friend, the director Karl Fruchtmann , he shot Kaddisch after a living person in 1969 . By 1992 more than 20 other television games followed, also with directors Peter Zadek , Wolfgang Petersen and Rainer Wolffhardt . His wife Marlies died in 1983. He has been married to the psychologist and television journalist Heide Nullmeyer since 2008.
