The RAL Gütegemeinschaft FLACHDACH e. V. based in Viernheim , Hessen , is an association of international flat roof manufacturers and service providers that deal with the RAL quality mark for flat roof systems and services (RAL-GZ 717) the development, certification and voluntary adherence to high quality standards in the flat roof structure , the Material selection, quality-assured initial sealing, roof refurbishments and repairs , roof maintenance and appraisals up to flat roof management (RM), tightness tests and leakage detection .
history
The RAL Gütegemeinschaft FLACHDACH e. V. was founded in February 2018 and is a registered association (register of associations VR 83985) based in Viernheim.
In cooperation with RAL German Institute for Quality Assurance and Labeling e. V. and with the cooperation of manufacturers, roof specialists, service providers and experts, the quality and test regulations were developed in order to optimize the quality of flat roofs, especially with regard to economy , safety , environmental friendliness, service life and susceptibility to maintenance.
RAL quality mark flat roof systems and services (RAL-GZ 717)
The quality mark for flat roof systems and services RAL GZ-717 is a technical set of rules for the planning and maintenance of quality products and services in the areas of flat roof construction, sealing materials, quality-assured initial sealing, roof renovations, roof repairs, roof maintenance, appraisals, leak detection , charging with solar and photovoltaics - Systems, greening of flat roofs and other consulting services for flat roofs. The GZ does not replace any existing standards, guidelines or regulations, but rather stands above the commonly used standard .
The companies certified in accordance with the quality and testing regulations of RAL-GZ 717 currently include 17 members from Germany , Switzerland , Austria , Belgium , Luxembourg and Ireland .
aims
The Gütegemeinschaft FLACHDACH e. V. controls and certifies the services and products of its members with the seal of approval for flat roof systems and services (RAL GZ-717) that meet the special quality and safety standards. The RAL-GZ 717 quality mark gives consumers and the economy, in particular public and private clients, security, transparency and comprehensible quality and test provisions within the framework of a system organized under private law.
