Gütelhofen is a district of the municipality of Obermarchtal in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg . The hamlet , about two kilometers east of Obermarchtal, is located to the right of the Danube on a hill with a wide view of the Swabian Alb and the Danube Valley.
history
Gütelhofen was first mentioned in 1315 as "Gütelhoven". The place came from the von Steusslingen and von Emerkingen in the first half of the 14th century to the monastery Obermarchtal .
In 1932 Gütelhofen was incorporated into the municipality of Obermarchtal.
