The GBU-12 Paveway II is a laser-guided bomb that was developed based on the Mark 82 multi-purpose free-fall bomb. The GBU-12 belongs to the Paveway series. This bomb was used from 1976. The United States Navy and Air Forces , the Air Forces of Canada , Colombia, and other members of NATO deploy the GBU-12.

The GBU-12 and the other bombs in the Paveway series were developed by Lockheed Martin and Raytheon . GBU-12 development centers are in Arizona , Texas , New Mexico, and Pennsylvania .
