Lists on the subject

The GM-94 ( Russian ГМ-94 , Гранатомёт магазинный , Granatomjot magasinny ) is a Russian hand grenade launcher . It was developed and produced for the special commandos of the Russian Army .

technology

The launcher has a three-shot tubular magazine, in contrast to a forearm repeater , the barrel is moved back and forth for reloading; the breech remains rigidly connected to the weapon and does not move. The barrel is drawn and lies here under the magazine. The weapon fires grenade cartridges of caliber 43 mm. It weighs 5.8 kilograms, works even when wet and can be used for amphibious combat. It was developed for military close combat. There are special grenades with a small fragment radius for house-to-house warfare , and tear gas containers or stun grenades can also be fired.

commitment

The GM-94 was observed during the Crimean Crisis . Weapons of this type have been observed in the past in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Libya .
