Gabriel Gosálvez Tejada

Gabriel Gosálvez Tejada (born November 15, 1899 in Yungas , † December 12, 1957 in Santiago de Chile ) was a Bolivian politician and diplomat .

Life

Gabriel Gosálvez Tejada studied economics in 1920 . In 1922 he published the magazines El Hombre Libre and La Republica . From 1934 he held various ministerial offices. During the Chaco War he was under Tejada Sorzano from December 14, 1934 to August 5, 1935 Minister of Defense and then Ministro de Instrucción y Agricultura . From May 17 to September 7, 1936 he was once again Minister of Defense. From 13 to 26 July 1937 he was Foreign Minister. From August 12, 1938 to March 18, 1939 he was Ministro de Gobierno, Justicia y Propaganda in the government cabinet of Germán Busch Becerra .

From 1939 to 1940 he was ambassador to the Holy See . From 1947 to 1950 he was ambassador to Buenos Aires . On August 6, 1951, he was presidential candidate of the state party Partido de la Unión Republicana Socialista (PURS). In 1952 he went into exile in Santiago de Chile .
