Gabriele Freytag (born March 21, 1967 ) is a former German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Gabriele Freytag began playing volleyball indoors in 1980 . The outside attacker later played with Post Telekom Berlin and TSV Spandau 1860 in the second Bundesliga . In 1991 she played her first beach volleyball tournament. In 2000 she and Martina Stoof came third at the German championship in Timmendorfer Strand .

From 2008 to 2015, the sports economist Gabriele Freytag was director of the management academy of the German Olympic Sports Confederation . Since 2015 she has been Head of Location Marketing and Sports Development in the Berlin Senate Department for Internal Affairs and Sport .
