Gail Jones

Gail Jones (born June 17, 1955 in Harvey (Western Australia) ) is an Australian writer mainly of novels and short stories .

Life

Gail Jones is from Western Australia and studied at the University of Western Australia in Perth . Since 1992 she has published novels and short stories that have been translated into many languages ​​and have won numerous literary prizes. She has taught English literature at the University of Western Australia and since 2001 writing at the University of Western Sydney .

For 2014 she was invited to Germany as a one-year guest in the literature section by the Berlin artist program of the DAAD .
