Gail Jones
Gail Jones (born June 17, 1955 in Harvey (Western Australia) ) is an Australian writer mainly of novels and short stories .
Life
Gail Jones is from Western Australia and studied at the University of Western Australia in Perth . Since 1992 she has published novels and short stories that have been translated into many languages and have won numerous literary prizes. She has taught English literature at the University of Western Australia and since 2001 writing at the University of Western Sydney .
For 2014 she was invited to Germany as a one-year guest in the literature section by the Berlin artist program of the DAAD .
