Gaios (sculptor from Lystra)

Gaios ( Greek  Γάϊος ) was an ancient sculptor from Lystra in Lycaonia during the Roman Empire .

Gaios is known from a singular inscription on a statue base from Zosta, today Akarköy in the Turkish province of Karaman , on which he was mentioned together with his brother Titos , who was also a sculptor. The statue belonging to the base and other works are not known. A more precise dating of the base is not yet possible.
