The Gaisbergturm in Heidelberg is a monument , which is located at the transition of the small plateau of 375.6  m above sea level. NHN high Gaisberg stands on the northwest slope. Designed by the architect Fritz Seitz, it was built in 1876 by the Heidelberg Castle Association. The tower, which is over 13 m high, can be climbed via 85 differently shaped steps on an external spiral staircase. This shape is based on the oriental spiral minarets . The brickwork of the tower consists of red sandstone blocks and has been piled up without mortar or other binding agents.

The Gaisberg tower was restored in 1926/27 and 2003/04. The last restoration was carried out by the city of Heidelberg and the West Heidelberg district association.
