Gaius Vibius Pansa was a late Republic Roman politician .

He was a mint master in 90 BC. As a partisan of the popular and supporter of Gaius Marius , he was proscribed during the dictatorship of the Optimaten Sulla . He was the father (presumably the adoptive father) of the later consul Gaius Vibius Pansa Caetronianus .

A denarius minted in his name shows the head of the god Apollo on the obverse and the goddess Minerva on a quadriga on the reverse . This denarius and two others with the Minerva in the quadriga are intended to commemorate the first victories in the 3rd alliance war. Two further denarii show a bearded pan mask and a bearded silenus mask on opposite sides. In addition, three different bronze denominations were minted (As, Semis, Quadrans).
