Galan Ridge is a prominent mountain ridge on the Lassiter coast of the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It forms the northeast wall of the Dana Mountains .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Michael P. Galan (* 1946), a member of the wintering team on the McMurdo - Station in 1967 and participant in the third crossing of Queen Maud Land to the geographic South Pole between 1967 and 1968.
