Galeazzo I. Visconti (born January 21, 1277 ; † August 6, 1328 ) from the Visconti family was the eldest son of Matteo I. Visconti . He ruled Milan from 1322 to 1328 .

Galeazzo Visconti sat in 1324 with the support of Emperor Ludwig IV (ruled 1314-1347) in Vaprio on the Adda against the army that the Pope had sent against the Visconti. In 1327 the emperor imprisoned him in Monza because he was suspected of having made peace with the church; he was only released because of the intervention of his friend Castruccio Castracani . From his wife Beatrice d'Este († September 1, 1334), daughter of Obizzo II. D'Este , with whom he was married since June 24, 1300, he had a son, Azzo Visconti , who was his successor, and a daughter, Ricarda, who was married to Thomas II , Margrave of Saluzzo .
