The Galilee Basin ( English Galilee Basin ) is a geomorphological basin in the Australian state of Queensland . It is part of the Great Artesian Basin , located about 200 km west of the Bowen Basin and covers an area of ​​about 247,000 km².

The basin is rich in coal deposits; so the company Waratah Coal Pty Ltd. discovered 4.4 billion tons of coal there.

The Indian company Adani Group is planning one of the largest coal mines in the world with the Carmichael coal mine.
