The Gamshag is a mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol , the summit reaches a height of 2178 m above sea level. A. The Gamshag is located northwest of the Torsee , from which the Saalach rises. The striking Tristkogel ( 2095 m above sea level ) rises to the northeast . To the northwest are the Kleine Schütz ( 2079 m above sea level ) and the Schützkogel ( 2069 m above sea level ), in the south there is the 2174 m high Teufelssprung .
The Gamshag is easily accessible with marked hiking trails both from the Jochberg to the west and from the Saalach valley to the east. In winter the mountain can be climbed as a ski tour .
