Gangseo-gu ( Korean 강서구 ) is one of the 16 districts of Busan . It is the westernmost and second largest area of the city after Gijang-gun . The district borders the Buk-gu , Sasang-gu, and Saha-gu neighborhoods in a clockwise direction .

The district consists of seven dong (sub-districts), with all but the Gangdong-dong being divided into two to nine further dong. The district thus has a total of 22 dong.

The Deobureo-minju party holds a majority in the seven-member district parliament .
