Garfield MacDonald
Garfield MacDonald ( John Garfield MacDonald ; born August 8, 1881 in Lower South River , Nova Scotia , † 1951 ) was a Canadian athlete .
At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 , he won the silver medal in the triple jump with his personal best of 14.76 m behind Tim Ahearne (14.915 m) and ahead of Edvard Larsen (14.395 m). In the high jump he finished 13th with 1.72 m, in the long jump he was eliminated from the qualification without his result being reported.
