The Garmen Point (English; Bulgarian нос Гърмен nos Garmen ) is a headland on the northwest coast of Smith Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . North of the confluence of the Bistra Glacier in the Drake Strait , it is 13 km north-northeast of Cape James and 18.3 km southwest of Cape Smith . It is an offshoot of Mount Foster .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 2008. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in the same year after the town of Garmen in southwestern Bulgaria .
