Gary Eddy

Gary Eddy ( Gary John Eddy; born March 26, 1945 ) is a former Australian sprinter .

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he reached the semifinals over 400 m and was eliminated with the 4-by-400-meter relay in the run-up.

In 1966 he won bronze at the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston with the Australian 4-by-110-yard relay. Over 100 yards he was fifth, over 220 yards fourth, and in the 4-by-440-yard relay, he contributed to fifth place in the Australian team with a run-up bet.

At the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970 he was fourth over 100 m and seventh over 200 m . In the 4 x 100 meter relay , he retired in the run-up due to a lost baton.

In 1965 he was Australian champion over 220 yards and in 1966 and 1967 over 400 m .
