Gary Powell
Gary Powell (born November 11, 1969 ) is a British drummer . He is the drummer with the Libertines , Eddy Grant and until their breakup in 2008 with the Dirty Pretty Things . He also played with the New York Dolls on their 2004 reunion shows.
He became a member of the Libertines in 2001 after he was introduced to front men Carl Barat and Pete Doherty by Libertines manager Banny Poostchi .
Powell is the younger brother of the coach of the English national football team of women , Hope Powell .
