The Garzón Point ( Spanish Punta Garzón ) is a headland on the Danco coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the southern part of Paradise Harbor , it is between Oscar Cove and Skontorp Cove .
Argentine scientists named them in 1956 after Eugenio Garzón (1796-1851), a general of the Argentine War of Independence between 1810 and 1825. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this name into English in 1978.
