Jill Gascoine

Jill Viola Gascoine (born April 11, 1937 in Lambeth , London , Great Britain , † April 28, 2020 in Los Angeles ) was a British actress and writer .

Gascoine became known to the German audience in the early 1980s as Maggie Forbes in the British TV series On the gentle tour (original title: The Gentle Touch), which was broadcast as an evening series on ARD. In CATS Eyes , the follow-up series, she also played the role of Maggie Forbes. In the 1970s she was seen as Letty Gaunt-Onedin in the early evening series Die Onedin-Linie (The Onedin Line) on German television. In 1990 she played in King of the Winds (King of the Wind) with. Her acting work includes more than 45 film and television productions. She was last seen in a film in 2007.

In 1986 she was married to the 16 years younger actor Alfred Molina . His first marriage to a hotelier had two children.

Gascoine also published three novels in the mid-1990s.
