Gaspar Henaine Perez (born January 6, 1926 in Chignahuapan , state of Puebla , Mexico , † September 30, 2011 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican actor and comedian known under the stage name "Capulina" .

Life

Henaine, the son of a hotel owner from Lebanon , first played in the musical trio “Los Excéntricos Del Ritmo” in the 1940s , before founding his own group of musicians with “Los Trincas” a few years later, played several instruments and made a name for himself Songs like "Las Rejas De Chapultepec" played.

He made his debut as an actor in 1950 in the film Cuando acaba la noche . In 1958 he took over the name "Capulina" for the first time in Se los chupó la bruja and played this character in twenty other films such as 1973 in El bueno para nada . In this role, he played a clumsy but good-natured buddy with a broken hat and was considered the Oliver Hardy of Mexico. He played in over seventy other films and had his last film appearance in 1999 in El diario de Daniela . His character of Capulina became so popular that comics appeared under the title Las Aventuras De Viruta y Capulina in the 1960s and later as Las Aventuras De Capulinita in the 1970s .

Henaine, who was also the producer of several films in the 1970s, later played himself in several television series, most recently in the documentary Tin Tan (2010).
