Gaston Poulain
Gaston Élie Poulain PSS (born July 19, 1927 in Truttemer-le-Grand , † October 24, 2015 in Caen ) was Bishop of Périgueux .
Life
Gaston Élie Poulain joined the order of the Sulpizians and was ordained a priest on December 8, 1951 . John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Périgueux on August 24, 1985 .
The Archbishop of Lyon Albert Florent Augustin Cardinal Decourtray consecrated him on November 3rd of the same year as bishop ; Co - consecrators were Jacques-Julien-Émile Patria , Bishop of Périgueux, and Jean-Marie-Clément Badré , Bishop of Bayeux .
After Jacques-Julien-Émile Patrias resigned , he succeeded him on October 15, 1988 as Bishop of Périgueux. On March 5, 2004, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
