Gastropus hypopus is a species of the genus Gastropus from the stem of the rotifers (Rotatoria).
description
The animals are 150 to 350 µm long, they have a body flattened like a canteen with a broad head and a wavy front edge. The cuticular tube of the suction apparatus is short and there are two toes on your foot. Their stomach contents are yellowish, the germ and yolk stock is large. They are fast swimmers.
