Gatson Ridge is a rugged 5 km long ridge in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Brown Hills of the Cook Mountains , it extends from the southern part of the Bowling Green Plateau in an easterly direction.
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2000 after the American topography engineer Karl W. Gatson, who was involved from 1975 to 1976 in the joint project of the United States Geological Survey and the British Antarctic Survey on the satellite geodesy of the Antarctic Peninsula and the Ellsworth Mountains .
