The Gauliga Kurhessen 1944/45 was the fourth and last season of the Gauliga Kurhessen of the football department . In order to keep the game going despite the Second World War , the Gauliga was divided into three smaller seasons. However, as the war progressed, gaming operations could no longer be continued. With the surrender of Germany, the Gauliga Kurhessen also ended. With the football league 1945/46 there was already a national football competition for the coming season.

Relay Kassel (not held)

The following teams were planned for the Kassel relay:

Without having played a single game, the season had to be canceled. Due to a lack of players, the remaining active players were grouped into three war syndicates :

  • KSG Süd (Kurhessen Kassel, TuRa Kassel, TuSpo Kassel, SpVgg Niederzwehren)
  • KSG Ost (BC Sport Kassel, CSC 03 Kassel, BV Kassel 06)
  • KSG Nord (Hermannia Kassel, SV 06 Kassel-Rothenditmold)

The planned single round was also canceled. The attempt to play off the season champion through two games between the newly formed KSGs Süd and Ost also failed. As a result, gaming operations in Kassel were finally stopped.

Season West (canceled)

  • SG SS Arolsen
  • TuSpo Weimar
  • KSG Rot-Weiß Waldeck
  • TSV Obervellmar
  • KSG blue-white Fritzlar
