The Gauliga Kurhessen 1942/43 was the second season of the Gauliga Kurhessen (officially: Area Class Kurhessen ) in football. The championship was decided in a "final", because on the last day of the match the two leading teams of SV 06 Kassel-Rothenditmold and VfL 1860 Marburg, separated by only one point, met in Kassel. In front of 4,000 spectators, the district association from the north Hessian metropolis prevailed 3: 2 and thus secured the Gaumeist title. In the final round of the German championship that followed, the Rothenditmolder were defeated by FC Schalke 04 in the first round. Upgraded SpVgg Niederzwehren proved to be uncompetitive - the only countable success was a 6: 3 home win against BV 06 Kassel - and would be back immediately relegated, if the merger of several clubs to war syndicates (KSG) had not ensured relegation. For the 1943/44 season, the KSG of VfL TuRa and TuSpo Kassel moved up.
