Baptized in Blood is a Canadian melodic death metal / thrash metal band from London, Ontario .
history
Baptized in Blood was founded in 2004 by Matthew Harris (bass), Steve Bolognese (drums, ex- Beyond the Embrace , ex- Into Eternity ), Nick Bertelsen (guitar), Josh Torrance (guitar) and singer Johl Fendley. After a demo , an EP and a self-produced CD, their self-titled debut album was released in 2010 via Roadrunner Records Canada . The album was produced by Zeuss, who had already worked with Hatebreed and Shadows Fall . The band then toured the United States as the opening act for Fear Factory . Dave Mustaine ( Megadeth ) was enthusiastic about joint appearances and took over the co-management of Baptized in Blood. In Europe, the sound carrier is currently only available as an import. In 2011 Baptized in Blood was the opening act for Cavalera Conspiracy .
style
On the official website, the band describes their influences as very far-reaching, from the Gothenburg melodic death metal scene ( At the Gates , In Flames ) to glam metal . The music is strongly groove-oriented and interspersed with melodic passages.
