Gauntlet Ridge ( English for Stulpengrat ) is a flattened and mainly icy mountain ridge in the form of a peninsula in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It separates the lower sections of the Nascent Glacier and the Ridgeway Glacier from each other, where they flow into Lady Newnes Bay .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave it a descriptive name in 1966 because its shape is reminiscent of a cuff .
