Accommodation options

The Norwegian hiking association DNT operates the Liomseter hut in Gausdal Vestfjell . The hut has 40 beds and offers catering in the summer months and at Easter. The state forest and fell administration Gausdal Fjellstyre maintains a dense network of 14 open huts, which are available to everyone to stay and overnight free of charge, as well as seven closed huts that can be rented by the day or by the week.

Other names

Because of its location east of Jotunheimen , Gausdal Vestfjell is also known as the “Vorhof Jotunheimens” (Norw. Jotunheimens forgård ). The DNT calls the area "Huldreheimen".
