Surname

Gaven is named after John Frederick Gaven , a farmer who was born in Nerang. He lived in this area of ​​Gaven where he owned large estates. He was a councilor from 1936 to 1960 and elected Southport to the Queensland Parliament from 1960 to 1950 . The suburb of Gaven was created in 2004 when the original Pacific Pines suburb was divided by the Gold Coast.
