Chemiré-le-Gaudin is a French municipality with 979 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Flèche and the canton of La Suze-sur-Sarthe . The inhabitants are called Chemiréens .
geography
Chemiré-le-Gaudin is located about 18 kilometers southwest of Le Mans on the Gée . Chemiré-le-Gaudin is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Crannes-en-Champagne in the north, Souligné-Flacé in the northeast, Louplande in the east, Roézé-sur-Sarthe in the southeast, La Suze-sur-Sarthe in the south, Fercé-sur-Sarthe in the south and southwest and Maigné in the west.
The A11 autoroute runs through the municipality on the northern edge .

In 1809, the previously independent municipalities Athenay (also Athené ) and Saint-Benoît-sur-Sarthe were incorporated.
