Brains-sur-Gée is a French municipality with 820 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Sarthe department in the region of Pays de la Loire . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of La Flèche and the canton of Loué . Its inhabitants are called Brennois .

geography

Brains-sur-Gée is about 15 kilometers west of Le Mans on the Gée River . Brains-sur-Gée is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Amné in the north and north-west, Coulans-sur-Gée in the east, Souligné-Flacé in the south and south-east, Crannes-en-Champagne in the south and Auvers-sous-Montfaucon in the west.

The A81 autoroute and the former national route 157 (today's D357) run through the municipality .
