Chantenay-Villedieu is a French municipality with 865 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Sarthe department in the region of Pays de la Loire . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement La Flèche and the canton Loué (until 2015: canton Brûlon ). Their inhabitants are called Chantenaysiens .

Chantenay-Villedieu is about 28 kilometers west-southwest of Le Mans . Chantenay-Villedieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Ouen-en-Champagne , Saint-Christophe-en-Champagne and Saint-Pierre-des-Bois in the north, Vallon-sur-Gée in the northeast, Pirmil in the east, Tassé in the south, Fontenay-sur-Vègre in the west and south-west and Chevillé in the west and north-west.

The LGV Bretagne-Pays de la Loire railway line passes Chantenay-Villedieu immediately south, with no stopping points. The nearest train station is in La Suze-sur-Sarthe, 17 km away on the Le Mans – Angers railway line .
The A 81 in the north and A 11 in the south can be reached via departmental roads .
