Noyen-sur-Sarthe is a French commune with 2,611 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Flèche and the canton of Loué . The inhabitants are called Noyennais .
geography
Noyen-sur-Sarthe is located about 26 kilometers southwest of Le Mans on the left bank of the Sarthe River , into which the Gée flows here. Noyen-sur-Sarthe is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pirmil in the north, Fercé-sur-Sarthe in the northeast, Saint-Jean-des-Bois in the east, Mézeray in the southeast, Malicorne-sur-Sarthe in the south, Dureil in the southwest, Avoise in the West and south-west and Tassé in the west and north-west.
The A11 autoroute leads through the municipality . The place has a train stop on the Le Mans – Angers railway line .
