geography
Solesmes is located about 41 kilometers west-southwest of Le Mans on the Sarthe . Solesmes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Juigné-sur-Sarthe in the north, Avoise in the northeast, Parcé-sur-Sarthe in the east and southeast, Vion in the south and Sablé-sur-Sarthe in the west.
