Fontenay-sur-Vègre is located about 32 kilometers west-southwest of Le Mans on the Vègre . Fontenay-sur-Vègre is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Chevillé in the north, Chantenay-Villedieu in the east and northeast, Tassé in the southeast, Asnières-sur-Vègre in the south and Poillé-sur-Vègre in the west and northwest.
