Peter Koenigfeld

Peter Königfeld (* around 1938) is a German art historian and monument protector .

Life

Peter Königfeld studied art history and received his doctorate from the University of Tübingen in 1972 . He had held responsible positions in the Lower Saxony State Office for Monument Preservation since 1973 and was chief curator of the institution until his retirement in 2003.

He is deputy chairman of the Wenger Foundation for the Preservation of Monuments , based on Georgstrasse in Hanover.
