The Gaydarov Point ( English ; Bulgarian Гайдаров нос Gajdarow nos ) is a headland that forms the southern branch of Cornwallis Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 10.5 km east-northeast of Cape Valentine of Elephant Island and 21.25 km northwest of Humble Point of Clarence Island .
The Bulgarian Antarctic Place-names Commission named it 2019. It is named after Captain Konstantin Gajdarow (1933-2019) by the company Ocean Fisheries in Burgas , whose fishing fleet of the early 1970's to the early 1990s in the waters around South Georgia to the Kerguelen , the South Orkney Islands and the South Shetland Islands, and the Antarctic Peninsula .
