Gebensbach is a district of the municipality of Taufkirchen in the district of Erding in Upper Bavaria .

The place is 8 km east of the main town Taufkirchen (Vils), directly on the municipality border with Velden .

history

The Catholic parish church of St. Ulrich is a late Gothic hall building with a retracted polygonal choir closure, attached sacristy and saddle tower with stepped gable, labeled "1524". Gebensbach became an independent community with the Bavarian community edict of 1818. This included the places Achatsberg, Bach, Birka, Brandhub, Gebensbach, Geiering, Geratsberg, Glockshub, Grub, Grund, Hauseck, Hienfurth, Kammerlehen, Lain, Lederstätt, Neuhub, Reichennehaid (1752 "Nöhaydt"), Rottberg, Seisenberg, Valtlstraß, Wanding, Weinberg, Wies and Winkl. The municipality of Gebensbach was incorporated into Taufkirchen on January 1, 1972.
