Gebhard Johann Essenius

Gebhard Johann Essenius (born October 28, 1688 in Breese im Bruche ; † May 7, 1762 in Gommern ) was a German Protestant theologian.

Life

Essenius, a son of pastor Martin Eberhard Essenius in Breese im Bruche, studied theology in Halle and Jena and became court deacon of Count von Callenberg in Muskau in 1715 , pastor in Nahrstedt in 1722 , pastor in Lüderitz (Altmark) in 1725 , deacon in Tangermünde in 1737 Pastor and Superintendent in Gommern.
