The passenger ship Gebrüder Bossler was used in the liner service of the shipping companies Personenschiffahrt Gebr. Bossler Neckarsteinach and the Heidelberger Fahrgastschiffahrt Bossler oHG. It was the first new building of the shipping company Gebr. Bossler after the Second World War .

history

The Bossler brothers were built in 1957 at the Schmidt shipyard in Oberkassel under the name Stuttgart for the Bossler-Personenschiffahrt shipping company. Since there was already a passenger ship with the same name on the Neckar in the Stuttgart area , the name of the ship was changed to Gebrüder Bossler .

Technical specifications

The passenger ship's engine is 116 hp. The length of the ship is 27 meters. The draft is given as 1.05 meters.

According to Helmut Betz Historisches vom Strom and Dieter Schubert, the passenger ship was approved for German inland passenger ships for 400 people. Günter Benja gives the number of passengers with 300 people. The ship is now designed for 150 people. The number of passengers consists of 60 seats below deck and 90 seats on deck.

Whereabouts

In 1975 the Bossler brothers were sold to Veitshöchheim and renamed Walküre . In 1994 it changed hands for the third time and joined the W. Wichmann passenger shipping company. The name Valkyrie remained until 2008. The ship has been in service for Reederei Zwenkau GmbH under its fourth owner since 2007 and was renamed Santa Barbara in 2008 .
